This autumn, Hakkasan Group’s Executive Chef Tong Chee Hwee and Chef Dabiz Muñoz, owner and Executive Chef of StreetXO in Mayfair, whose reputation as the ‘enfant terrible of Spanish gastronomy’, will come together in a unique and innovative collaboration to celebrate the Chinese festival of Golden Week at Hakkasan.
With high-octane dishes taking inspiration from cuisines around the world, the new menu will be unlike anything seen in Hakkasan before.
From the transformation of one of Spain’s most famous and beloved dishes, the tortilla, into dim sum served with truffle and quail egg, to traditional Peking duck with glistening crispy skin, accompanied by a beetroot pancake, lychee and rose, the new menu fuses the two culinary masters’ Cantonese and Spanish influences.
Inspired by the flavours of Hakkasan’s signature Crispy duck salad, the Hakkasan and StreetXO bar teams crafted the Oriental Frontera, made with Ketel One vodka, plum sauce-infused Fino Sherry, pink grapefruit, chilli and Hakkasan’s sweet and sour sauce.
To celebrate Golden Week, the limited edition menu is priced at RMB 888 per person for a minimum of two people and is available at Hakkasan Shanghai from 16th September to 15th October.
