Hakkasan is celebrating Chinese New Year with an exclusive menu created in collaboration by chefs from Hakkasan restaurants around the world.
Featuring dishes using ingredients believed to bring good luck and prosperity for the coming year, priced at RMB888 per person, the menu starts with Wind-dry oyster and lotus rootserved in mantao, the oyster traditionally symbolising fortune and good luck. Other small eat dishes include Braised beef tongue with caramelised walnut and asparagus and Crispy scallop in sweet plum sauce with mango in a golden cup.
On 15th February 2018, Lunar New Year’s Eve, Hakkasan Shanghai will honour the auspicious tradition of the lion dance offering symbolic expressions of good fortune to see in the Year of the Dog. As part of the festivities, Hakkasan will also continue the annual wishing tree tradition by inviting guests to write their wishes on red ribbons that will be hung around the dining areas.
The Chinese New Year celebration at Hakkasan runs from 19th January to 2nd March 2018. The Chinese New Year menu is priced at RMB888, however guests can also opt for the RMB1,288 menu that features two additional dishes; Crispy duck with imperial caviar and Braised Chilean abalone.
